Guide: Haji Yusuf Shapira

Who is Haji Yusuf Shapira?
Study 4 years Antroposofy and Waldorf Education and graduated as a Waldorf teacher and artist from Emerson College.
Worked 3 years as a music teacher and assistant of Eurythmy, an expressive movement art in “Timrat Al-Zytin” A Waldorf school in the north of Palestine-israel.
7 years experience in creativity education with children from2 years old to 14 years old.
Developed Music Therapy method that influence by the great Turkish philosopher and scientist Al-Farabi, who made a research about music therapy and the posibly of using music and sounds for the purpose of healing body, mind and soul.
Playing blowing instruments; Turkish Ney, indian flute-bansuri , clarinet and Percussions; bendir (Daf) and rabab-old turkish string instrument.
A Permacultural Designer, certificated by institute of Bill Mollison, Ecological Design Method of Farmimg and Eco-building and Green education.

What is Waldorf Education?
Waldorf education is the fastest growing educational movement in the world. Developed by Rudolf Steiner in 1919, Waldorf Education is based on a profound understanding of human development that addresses the needs of the growing child.
Waldorf teachers strive to transform education into an art that educates the whole soul of child—the thinking the head, the emotion the heart and the will power for being active- hands and legs.
With a deep understanding of child development, a broad curriculum and creative methodology, Waldorf schools place the changing needs of the child at the centre of their teaching.

What is Music therapy?
Music Therapy is using music interactively to open your child though the new experiences and concepts, (such as : attention, communication, motor skills, joyment, patient, social skills and etc.) by using music experiences- free improvisation, singing, songwriting, listening to and discussing music, moving to music to achieve treatment goals and objectives.
The best music for children till 9 years old age is pentatonic music, in this workshop we are going to experience about listening, singing and moving with pentatonic music, and the instruments will be given them to practice and adapt them to the different instruments.

What is about Puppet Show?
Puppet Theater based on animal stories lead with live Turkish music and children activities. Puppets are hand made and by the natural materials, and to make them will be experience with the children, to develop the creativity and improve the ability of making their own toys.

Workshop details:
Every Workshop takes 2 hours. There is morning session or afternoon session.
Morning time: 10:00-12:00
And at Evening time: 17:00-19:00
The group are limited up to 15 children only
